locked in act 2 on cruel difficulty

so after beating the boss of act 2 on the dreadnaught i talked to the hooded one and then returned to do a trial of sekhma. now my game is in a state where i cannot waypoint into act 3 because i dont have any waypoints there, i cant teleport there with a friend because my quest states dont match his, i cant talk to the hooded one because the quest state i currently have renders the caravan as moving instead of stopped with the ramp down, and i cant simply re kill the boss because that doesnt return the caravan to the correct state. please fix soon, as is i am compleatly bricked and can no longer enjoy this game

The Hooded One does not send you to Act 3 the way he sends you to Act 2.

The dialogue option for traveling to Act 3 is with Asala.

different npc but the problem is the same, i already went to act three and came back without activating a waypoint. the dialogue is gone
