Why rush Poe2?

why is it so important for GGG to only focus on poe2? Its early access, right? There is so many problems with poe2, why not just put time into a new poe1 league and dedicate the time after to fix poe2? i dont get it

Could go all the way back to why even release it in that state.
i totally agree with you. early access is a way for people playing to find issues. as of now there is too many of these issues. just develop a new poe1 league to keep the playerbase happy and come back later with good improvements to poe2. its not like i dislike poe2 i just like poe1 way more. GGG need to figure something out because rn everything is burning

Because they hate PoE 1. They have hated the game it became for many years now. They tried to feed us Ruthless. They tried to feed us the vision. We didn't want them.

So now they will take away PoE1 by force, and leave us with two options: Play the Vision, or play a different game altogether.
Love the games. PoE1 way more so than PoE2, but still enjoying both.

Hate the company. The scummy, lying, fake and shitty facade, the excuses, the failures, and most of all, the "Vision".

Keep both of those in mind when reading my posts.
they announced it 6 years ago and was already in early dev for 2 years or more..

rush? i think they thought poe 2 was almost perfect on launch. just missing some classes and part 2 campaign.

they're more upset they didnt' get 1.5 mill players on steam like the average successful game these days than anything else that's happening. i mean they probably spent more than most games budgets on #ad #shill alone

probably because tencent pushed them to release something. the campaign is ok but the so called end game was clearly just rushed together in the last minute to push it out...

Because it's EA. Because it's riding the hype. Because it has so many issues.

Them focusing fully on PoE2 right now is the most rational business decision, and nobody really questions that. What people have an issue with is how they ended up in this situation.

Their playtester team with 1k hours played probably greenlit it.

They may or may not hate PoE1, but them currently focusing on PoE2 has nothing to do with that.

Tencent might push a release, but they would NEVER push a release right before the whole team takes a month off. If it was up to Tencent, I can 1000% guarantee that the release would've happened well before or soon after (most likely after) the month-long break.

I still find it such a baffling decision to release a hyped EA and taking a month off right after...

i dont think they originally planned on taking a month off. they just saw that they sold 1 million keys and figured why the hell not? the money is already made, whats the worst that can happen? had they only sold a modest amount of keys i guarantee you that they wouldn't have taken that month off.
