Triple Death Penalty :(
1. Xp penalty - 10% is rough, but can be overcome.
1b. Having a visual on the xp bar showing my loss would be a neat option. There's already an omen that helps with this, so it's not the end of the world. 2. one portal penalty - Bonked once and lose your map? It's brutal for sure, but I can kind of see the reason why you should take your time. 2b. POE1 had an item that nobody used that prevented portal loss in case of death. Bring these back? 3. loss of bonus content penalty - Just why? 3b. Could we feed more than 1 tablet to a tower to overcome this? Or simply just stop this from happening? Just feels blah. The random 1 hit deaths have been massively toned down since the 1.1 patch so most of this is just stupid user error, but man.. why all three? Last bumped on Feb 1, 2025, 5:58:45 PM

" if its not insta death you need to learn how to utilize ESC+logout |

Three is a magic number. Like holy trinity you know.

|
" This was already supposed to be removed from poe2. I believe it was supposed to be like a 10 second cooldown but it has yet to be added. |
|
" you mean delay? sounds bs to me because implementing such delay would defeat the purpose of hard lock step, unless the game pauses but client continues to run for 10sec after you hit log out. |
|
I'm used to the xp penalty (don't like it however) after playing PoE1 for so long, but I personally hate this 1 portal and deletion of loot decision they made. The couple deaths I've had have been because of junk on the ground I can't see, or I got insta swarmed (due to so many issues with minions), can't dodge out of it, then it's like a recreation of a 'Roxbury Guys' skit.
Sucks a lot of fun out of the game for me and have kind of lost motivation to map. |

" I don't recall exactly how they explained it. They wanted to stop people from being able to use logout macro on hardcore. |
|
" whatever they will do on HC wont happen on SC, all they had to do is kill all portals on log out, just like it happens when you die. i raised this 'issue' way back, nothing was done so its intended, at least for SC. |
