Trials / Ascendancy must be the most convoluted & buggy bs system in all of gaming

Or I am legitimately too mentally challenged to understand any part of it whatsoever.

Can you folks please hire ONE PERSON who can think, speak and write like a normal homo sapiens?

On my 2nd ascendancy trial in act 3 normal I failed it after 3 rooms, yet I got my ascendancy points. I still have no idea why.

Then I get to act 2 cruel, the quest tells me to kill the boss again, ballaballa or whatever her name is, the one with the lethal flatulence across the room, and no matter how often I kill her, the quest is not progressing, no key is dropping.

My mate tells me "worry not!", you can just do it on normal once you find another key that grants ascendancy points. And once I found a key, that's what I did.

I complete the trial, it tells me "TRIAL COMPLETE" across the screen, and I'm right back to the start. No rewards, no ascendancy points, and my key is also gone.

This game at times feels like it was designed by Satan himself to induce as much rage as possible in the human race.

If your intention is indeed a broader mass appeal with POE2, boy oh boy are you failing miserably on that goal.
