Critical Feedback: Unacceptable Performance – No Amount of Content or Bug Fixes Can Solve This Issue
I am uninstalling POE2 and reinstalling POE1. The main issue I’m addressing here isn’t about content or bug fixes—it’s about the overall performance of the game.
It’s unacceptable that with my RTX 2070 and "old" i7 8700k, I can run every other game at 240fps with performance settings, including Path of Exile 1, but in this game, thousands of threads are filled with complaints from players who can’t even play it. Here’s my case: I’m getting only 10 fps in every map, even with full Delirium T15, and I can’t enjoy or even properly test the game. After over 500 hours of playing at 5 fps and trying every possible solution (from updating BIOS, reinstalling the game, reinstalling Windows 10, to following every YouTube tutorial imaginable), I’ve come to the conclusion that the issue isn’t with our PCs—it’s with the game itself. No matter how much players complain and think it’s their hardware, it isn’t. This is evidenced by the thousands of posts from players experiencing the exact same issue, all pointing to the same problem: the game’s performance. If you think all POE players are streamers who can afford to spend 4000 euros on a new PC every year, you’re mistaken. It’s the only game I’ve played with such poor performance that it makes me want to go back to POE 1, where I get over 150fps even on high-density maps with no issues. Right now, the biggest issue isn’t the content, bugs, or exploits—it’s that people can’t even play the game. Performance needs to be prioritized above all else. Please, focus on making the game actually playable for everyone, regardless of their hardware. PLEASE, DO SOMETHING!
