Monk the best class for being disgusted with POE 2...
So yes if the monk can present a great endgame build, progressing in POE 2 with a monk is the worst possible experience of POE 2, you die all the time and with anything and even with extremely ridiculous choices, everything is a real danger with the monk, Whereas with another class, you run over it like it's butter, the experience with the monk is really disastrous and ideal for being disgusted with POE 2, there's a great need to revise this class to make it more affordable, at least for the start of the game!

I had the exact opposite experience: My Cold Monk is the first one to make it to end game. And I've tried all classes, more than once each.
I used DonTheCrown's Cold Monk Leveling Build: https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/builds/don-cold-monk I attack with 3 things: Ice Strike, Wave of Frost, and Tempest Bell. Once I figured out the bell, it was a breeze: You hit the bell over and over to AOE everything around to the ground. I had 3 gems per skill. |

Monks are very easy to survive with. You have evasion to dodge almost everything, while ES lets you survive the slams and boss hits that insta-kill evasion, armour, and eva/armour. And the bell just lets you slaughter bosses, meaning short fights, lower risk there.

Monk is pretty tanky.
The only real problem with Monk is that you need a decent weapon, particularly early on the game can be a bit painful if you get unlucky with drops and the vendors not having great weapon upgrades. It might be the most gear dependant class early on. But once you get to midgame the Monk just turns into a steamroller. |
