PS5 pro - new player, wired connection - constant disconects

Hi guys!
I tried playing this a few years ago and it was terrible with the online on pc. I gave up at the time thinking it was my internet provider (though this is the ONLY game I ever had online issues with). I've since gotten xfinity and much better speeds. I can play tons of online games on both pc and ps5 no issue, but this game freezes, the music keeps playing then it disonects and gives me some generic error on the character select screen.

It happens at least once per area. I have several always online things on wifi, my ps5 pro is wired with cat 5 to my router. Nothing else shows disoncects or a flakey connection. This is a console, so not much I can do. I've been playing solo, I purchased the support pack for part 2 and figured I would try playing through part 1 first to get a feel for the story.

What actions can I reasonably take on a console? I play a few online games that require fast constant connections with no issue (like earth defense force 6, and third person shooter with 4 players).

So I tried part 2. No issues. I'm not sure why POE1 doesn't run correctly. 2 runs smooth as butter and I cleared the whole first area without incident.

So I downloaded it on my gaming computer. Same router, both wired with cat 5. No issues. So I'm kind of at a loss. Performance metrics on pc show network is fine.

Update: I set my networking mode to hybrid, works amazing now. I've cleared around 5 zones, no desyncs. It was on auto.

I have done everything you have done including reinstalling the game and changing my DNS to Google. Been desperately trying to fix this for a week now. I want to buy poe2 but won't until this gets fixed
