Console Chaos Trials Bugs

When on level 7 of the Chaos trials, My friend and I was on a level to retrieve Vaal soul cores. I picked up the last soul core and tried to put the soul core in the altar, but it did not let me. It said I didn't have the Vaal Soul Core, but it was on my back and actively taking health. My friend, whom didn't have the soul core was able to put it on the altar, however it kept taking health from me and killed me resulting in a trial fail.
