Higher FPS on windowed

Hello i recently got a new desktop and came back to play a week or so ago, and yesterday was doing a lot of trades and alt-tabbing a lot and started to notice the audio from the music playing on Spotify was cutting, not sure if the game audio was too; there was also a small mouse pointer and video stutter.

So i switched to windowed just to see if alt-tabbing got better and to my surprise my FPS went from ~220 to ~290. I swapped between the three modes and always windowed had the best FPS of the three and the other two had similar FPS between them.

Fullscreen had similar FPS than windowed fullscreen but doesnt have the problems i mentioned while alt-tabbing, the other has.

On AMD Adrenalin software i only have enabled "Radeon Anti-Lag" and "Radeon Enhanced Sync". I had "AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 (AFMF)" enabled for a while but didnt seem to notice a lot of difference since my FPS is usually above 140 so theres not a lot of reasons to enable it and i also was noticing some stutter and thought that might've been the reason. Disabling it has made gameplay more fluid since.

My monitor is HDR ready but i have Auto HDR enabled too so the game looks fine and since its 360Hz i also have VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) enabled to reduce screen flickering (common problem on OLED screens when FPS is too low)

I'd also like to point out this is my first desktop in years (laptop long time user) and first ever AMD hardware, so it's possible there's some configs i might be doing wrong and causing these issues.

GPU: RX 7900 GRE Hellhound OC (but i didnt OC it)
Memmory: 2x16GB CL30 XPG Lancer DDR5 6000 MT/s (AMD EXPO OC)
SSD: Kingston Fury 2TB
PSU: Asus ROG Loki 850W
Cooling: NXZT Kraken 360
Monitor: LG Odyssey G6 OLED
OS: Windows 11 Pro 24H2
AMD Drivers: 24.12.1
