Ps5 trading not working

I have my Playstation account linked to the poe2 website bit still trading does not work.

I can send a whisper for an item I'm interested in, but when I then return to the in game chat, I cannot send a whisper to the seller, nor do I think they ever receive my initial whisper.

I also noticed that Often, the seller is indicated as online in the trade, but in the in-game chat (seconds later), they are flagged as offline.

Utterly frustrating.

Additionally, I really don't understand why there is no buy-out option. This trading setup feels very 1990's
