Performance in POE2 is abysmal - Please optimize the game I love

I am playing on an 4070ti // i7 12700F // 32GB RAM // 31.5" 1440p 120hz Screen


Now, my computer runs every game I have thrown at it fantastically.. Even Cyberpunk 2077 which is one of the most beautiful and amazing looking games I've played, my computer runs it amazingly even with full ultra settings and raytracing on...


POE1 even runs amazingly and I was blown away at how much can be going on in POE1 and still my computer was able to chug away with 120fps even with a ton of stuff happening at the same time, it was awesome.


Sadly, POE2 run's the worst of any game I've ever tried on my PC... During mapping on my infernalist fps will routinely drop to around 30-40 when things get going really crazy! Especially if you instill your maps and it adds all the fog to the map, that seems to really tank fps hard...


I am just really disappointed by how badly it runs, and frankly upgrading to a 5080 or something like that to just hopefully play this one game better is not an option for me at this time...


I am not sure if I will be able to stick around with this game when it goes into full launch if it continues to play the way that it does...



Also as a quick disclaimer, Yes I play in 1440p, But I experimented with trying to turn my resolution down to 1080p // 60hz and it really didn't seem to help much...

The only thing that helped my FPS the most was switching my priority in Task Manager to "Real Time" for POE2.exe

I know this isn't recommended but it's the only thing that made a HUGE difference in FPS for me, But even that only helped add 10-15 FPS during combat..




Please please please, do something about the optimization, Even if it doesn't come for a while, I hope it's at least a main priority for the team at least for launch...



This is the ONE and ONLY complaint I have about POE2, Otherwise I am a complete fanboy!

Look into CrossDeviceService.exe, or just look at the post I've created about it. Disabling it for me has improved performance in the game, and just general system performance tremendously.

Thanks! I had most of this turned off already but went ahead and turned it all off, thank you! Hopefully this helps a bit!
