simulacrum is this supposed to be nerfed or adjusted?
im fine with the concept itself and its fine that it should be hard... i finished it few times but most of the times if you get some op roll modifiers on monsters you just cant unless, i guess, you have some crazy 400k dps...
im talking about moving speed % on monsters to make an example, how am i supposed to deal with mobs moving at light speed in some kind of arena thats smaller than a bathroom, i end up being pushed around and i cant even use my skill cause of that... just lost another run on 13/15 thanks to +30% speed and the map looked like a pinball, i was the ball oh and another thing, why the hell the portal stay there during the wave, i dont even know how many times i ended up clickin on it moving around Last edited by Flagello#0116 on Jan 25, 2025, 12:37:21 PM Last bumped on Jan 26, 2025, 10:48:14 AM

If all content is easy then theres no reason to get stronger, which is the whole idea about the game.

" Oh come on really? That's your take? There is no reason so many people who can do any other pinnacle +4 with any build have to struggle so much in simularcum. It's clearly massively overturned. No room to navigate, horrible performance due to the delirium map visuals, modifiers that brick builds, skills that simply don't work on delirium enemies. The list goes on. Yes, you can make it with astramendis stat stacker, or 20k es minion, or fully busted spark. But we're not all that. +0 shouldn't require mirror builds to clear. No other content does, and delirium should be brought in line |
|
It's endgame content so be ready to have your char endgame ready if you want to run it.

" That's so delulu, I assume you're just trolling now. My character obliterates all other endgame encounters. But the build absolutely cannot do Simularcum. And I bet there are more builds that also cannot do it well. +3/4 should be a heavy challenge. +0 shouldn't, not when all other types of pinnacle content aren't. And let's not forget that getting points in the tree is part of the progression to unlock methods for better farming, not a dick measuring contest that you complete once you've traded for gear. Think about this from a SSF Point of View. The path is: bad gear, maps, decent gear, pinnacle content, great gear. And that's fine for all other league mechanics but somehow not for simularcum |
|
The early levels of Simulacrum are over-tuned just like the final difficulty of the breach boss. If you don't have some cheesy one-shot build for Xesht you're sitting there dodging and dodging and dodging and dodging and dodging and dodging and dodging and dodging and dodging until inevitably you get a bad overlap and it's over. Absolutely soul-crushing feeling that it's one attempt too, like come on man let me hit the damn boss already this is absurdly fast actions per minute. Completely goes against the power fantasy of an ARPG when the boss is throwing out one-shot mechanics to dodge 24/7 can't even stand still for but a moment.

Yeah Simulacrum is basically impossible for my character (96 invoker). All other endgame content at +4 can be done with my eyes closed. I can't even t0 on this, despite burning the other bosses in seconds, having 9k base ES (18k with feast), 1.8 hp, and 81% evasion. I've died on wave 14 about 8 times now.
The last 3 attempts my wave 14 was identical and has been monsters have evasion, increased damage, chaos damage, and haste. There's basically no beating that combo for a melee character. I've made a new tree just for this run (and also tried swapping out from ice strike to storm wave primary /w tempest strike to proc bells) to no avail. It's funny that Arbiter and Xesht basically fall over on sight at +4 but this run at t0 is completely impossible. Last edited by AstroShade#7322 on Jan 26, 2025, 12:44:42 AM

I think it's fine that some builds are just better than others at certain content. Not all of my poe1 builds could do simulacrums either. Some builds were also better at bossing. Some were better at mapping.

My curse bot could party with you and hit them w/ temporal chains and reduce white mob movement so slow they dont move/atk/cast. less effective on magic/rare/unique but still VERY effective
So just because you are struggling doesnt mean the entire event needs nerfed |
|
" I've been running a max rank temporal chains through blasphemy for the event and taking off one herald (thunder if I'm using Ice Strike, Ice if I'm using storm wave) since the mobs are almost immune to status effects and heralds aren't proccing anyways. It doesn't help much. Your curse bot would be way more effective than my blasphemy chains, of course, but I don't think that would fix the issue my character has in this event. But some classes not being able to do content absolutely matters, because passive tree points are gated behind this content which impact huge aspects of gameplay beyond the event in question.
