More shields mechanic and skills? You already have the fundamental, just add some love...

How about introducing more active block "enchants" or skills?

There are so many potential buffs/nodes/skills/gems/enchants you could introduce.
I would say DeadCells made shield mechanics pretty fun:
Active block could
- bleed enemies
- stun them more
- reflect damage
- give guard
- reflect projectiles
- conjure elemental damages, etc...

Well... the way DC did each shield have 2 effect:
holding up and parrying gives more reward.
(Btw... amazing indie game if you haven't tried. Sadly extra difficulties andendgame are technically escalates to no-hit runs, regardless how much hp and def stats you have :( )

I wouldn't go as far as making more "parry" mechanic like the magma barrier buff, because against hordes of enemies I find it annoying to constantly cancel my "resonate shield skill".
Well... if we are already here why not make resonate shield "pulsating" the magma barrier, aka instead timing the release, each "pulse" would be considered a separate active block.
Not sure if it would be considered overturned, since so far every endgame playstyle is about being a glasscannon: either you oneshot the enemy or the enemy oneshots you...

How about adding a skillgem where active blocking could conserve absorbed damage that could be released later on?

The shield wall skill could get some more love too. Find it extremely situational, or maybe I just haven't found a build to utilize it enough?

Thoughts? Or More ideas?
