[POE2] Appear offline in steam not being applied while playing

And... I came to find out that GGG never implemented the "show as offline" feature, which is now a standard feature in most POE-like games. Some people say that the reason is the in-game currency trade system, but there are other games with trade systems that function normally with the "show as offline" feature. What is the reason behind this?
