Poisonous Concoction on weapon swap?!?
So Why can't I specify a specific weapon to cast PC with? Is there some mechanical reason? Is it a bug? Is it something they plan on implementing?
I know I can manually swap weapons. But most skills allow you to auto-swap to set 1 or 2 in the skill menu. PC does not allow for this. Check out my Frozen Dagger build in the Shadow forums!! Last bumped on Jan 22, 2025, 5:10:25 PM

I assume it has to do with poison concoction not actually being a weapon skill at all it deals unarmed chaos damage I believe

It says unarmed. But equipping a cultist bow increases it's damage massively.

" This is because it'd also an "attack" skill, and weapon damage affects "hits" from "attack" skills I'm pretty sure Edit: could also just be a bug like the bow damage on quivers affecting it though, unsure on this one Last edited by TheFriggenBest#6781 on Jan 22, 2025, 4:51:40 PM

" That's my point. Since it is dependent on weapon damage it should be able to be specified to a specific set. " I already had that thought. Tested without quivers and it still increases depending on weapon equipped. Check out my Frozen Dagger build in the Shadow forums!!

Is it possible it's being affected by the bow specifically though not sure if there's another weapon with chaos damage to test it with though besides the cultist bow
Like as in it's still being affected by "bows" not just damage from bow skills. Something in the code is considering it a bow skill and therefore bow weapon damage is affecting it? Edit: that's assuming it's a bug, the fact you can't assign it to an weapon set might be the bug in itself, poison concoction is very buggy in my opinion anyway, holding alt tells you it has quality affects but you can't use gemcutters on it aswell Last edited by TheFriggenBest#6781 on Jan 22, 2025, 5:01:59 PM

" There's actually a number of skills, acquired without a gem, like this. My assumption is that any non-gem skill that has quality bonuses will eventually be a gem you can acquire, or they just aren't sure how to deal with non gem skill quality since you can spec in and out of them. There's issues with loosing supports (they go "POOF") if you spec out of a non-gem skill with the supports still inserted in them. I've had it happen with fire dog (infernalist) and PC. Loosing supports aint a big deal since the gems to cut them are plentiful. But 86ing a bunch of GCP's you invested into a specced skill would feel bad.
