Trial of Chaos - can't exit area

I blinked from top of entry platform in dragon boss arena to basin --> blinked to boss --> killed boss --> trial quest context reads "Enter the Challenge Area", which I already did in order to kill the boss --> now the next door in the trials won't open, I cannot egress out of the entire trial because the rising platforms don't work anymore, and i can't /hideout or town portal because those are disabled during an encounter. going in and out of the accessible rooms doesn't clear the issue -- now i'm trapped in the trial of chaos... if my lvl 94 char is bricked from this ill be a little sad lowkey ngl

issue 'resolved' by exiting game and re-opening application (lost the trial key, but that's way way better than being trapped forever)

Hm i have the same Problem, but when i exit POE 2 ans start the game again my char is still stuked in the trial Challenge Arena

yall, if you're still stuck, get out of the boss room and go back to the previous room, then invite someone and teleport to them. This worked for me. You can close the trial once you're out to reset it.

This happens because you blink down immediately before you've passed by the trial master, which means he hasn't walked out and gone through his little intro phase, so the area doesn't end up being "activated", and when you kill the boss it won't recognize it as being completed. The easiest way for them to fix this would be to make it so there's an invisible wall there at the start that you can't blink down so that you are forced to walk by the trial master to activate everything. Either that or move the trial master closer to the entrance so that he is always activated. I personally just always walk past the trial master and go down the stairs and across instead to avoid this bug.
