Gameplay review and comments
Overview:
General gameplay loop feels quite rewarding even at end game. Campaign so far was good although acts 2 and 3 seemed far easier than 1. That's probably because I started trading for better equipment in act 2. Crafting / Currency: Item crafting relative to the last ARPG game I played (Last Epoch) is less fun in my opinion. Feels much more like a slot machine than designing gear. The drop rates on some of the currency is absurdly low making any type of experimenting out of the question. Players should probably see at least 1 divine orb over 100 hours of gameplay. Probably far more if you want players to actually use the damn things. In this aspect it feels like you are designing drop rates to artificially construct some dumb economy based on PoE1 instead of building a fun crafting game. Zoom / vision: The amount of visible map while playing is related to the resolution. A 4k resolution sees more of the map than 2k and so forth. A 2k can go windowed mode and squeeze their screen to give more vision left on right side. A better zoom distance is probably the distance the game already uses occassionally in certain scenes.
