What's happening to the Trade Market? Pricing issue

Just a few weeks ago, standard-quality items I used to buy for 5-10 ex are now in the 1-5 divine range. They're asking for divine orbs for trash items that aren't even worth 1 ex, and all these accounts seem to be from the Asia region. People who actually want to sell genuinely useful, good items are seeing these ridiculous prices and asking for 50 divines for items that are realistically worth 60-70 exalts or maybe 1 divine. I can't buy anything from the trade market anymore

Welcome to PoE. Happens very league. after about a month prices go to high.. that's about when most stop playing and wait till next league start. Then people selling wonder why they not selling nothing. _shrug_

Did you know you can filter Exalted only, at the bottom of the trade filter? There are many items listed for 10-60 exalts that should get your character through t15's and above

While I'm not defending the people who pull such prices out of their a**, you have it all backwards anyway.
See, this is a mostly single player game. Trade is there for convenience mostly. Sure there is "economy" here, but maybe.. just maybe.. it was a good idea to save up some actually usable items for a new build before rerolling. Just sayin. No hate bro, been there myself few weeks ago. Solution: roll new char. I got it to lvl 96 now, bathing in divines and cool items. Just play the game, not the trade site. |

Use builds that don't need 50 divines to feel good imo. I got a minion witch that got to pinnacle bosses on 1 divine of gear. Is it slower than a 500 divine spark sorc? Yup. Does it matter? Nope. Let the no lifers no life and just find something that works. Also, this whole thing is about to get reset here in another couple weeks and everyone going to start over. Just take a break if it's that obnoxious.

" Literally this. 99% of problems people have with trade can be solved by filtering out items above and below what you want to pay. I think I have the best luck in items 1 to 60 ex. The people listing junk for divine just says I'm not Walmart, I'm 7/11, you pay for convenience. |

" Except for there is no crafting in PoE2, and you basically never get drops that are actually useful for your character. I know literally every single piece of gear that I ever put on my 95 invoker was either bought from the vendor or traded for. I never successfully crafted or got from a drop a single item the character ever used beyond level 10. I've managed to "craft" (read pray to RNGesus) quite a few very valuable items, but none that ever worked for my character. So saying "just save up gear pieces" doesn't really make sense, because you'll probably never get gear to save up for in the first place. Also, for the OP, the whole reason why prices are hyper inflating is because there is no crafting. Because there is no crafting, there's no exit for currency from the market, so prices can only ever go up. Until GGG decides to give us systems to craft, every league is going to be like this. " change back, farm the gear you need then change. lesson learned. people are playing self found and doing just fine. not being able to play the game cause you cant afford the gear for your character is not a situation anyone should ever find themselves in. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
