EXP LOSS on death is not a Problem, but leveling is

And I understand the concept and ideas about making lvls after 95, like 96 - 100 a prestige level, and only 0.01% players going that far and it rewarding stronger/unkillable builds.

But for the love of god, exp loss is not nearly as big of a problem people make it to be.

Unlike leveling scale progression. People see a small tree (exp loss) and they don't see a huge mountain behind that tree. (EXP gain ratio with higher levels)

For those who are below 97-98.

EXP gains go down in exponential curve, meaning it will take you about 35 hours to go from 97 to 98, and it will take you about 80 hours to go from 98 to 99, and it will take you about 200 hours of grind to go from 99 to 100.

On lvl 98 I get 200k experience for maps, that would normally give me like a million exp, on lvl 95. This is all just for example, and exact numbers don't matter.

I just think that those numbers do no add up, its like someone added an extra zero to lvl 100 requirements. It makes an unrealistic and a very unhealthy target for people to chase, and people who grind lvl 100 are risking losing some chromosomes, mental and physical health.

You can bet some of the accounts who reached 100 if not all of them, are run by several people and grind without sleep, without food or toilet breaks to reach level 100 on the ladder.

If the game had any fun activity to do while leveling it could be better, but for most part people just repeat boring bad maps on awful layouts, 1000 times in row.

People just need to stop being alcoholics. Lvl 100 in poe1 was already too long and I only bothered to do it once. Poe2 is using the old experience formula, making it truly absurd to reach lvl 100. Just stop caring about it. If the game isn't fun anymore, put it down.
100 should be aspirational

Good the way it is
Played for years in poe1 and now poe2, I don't see the hype of 100 I've never gotten there and I've cleared all the content most leagues I've played.

Why struggle for 100, when a content update drops leagues reset and if you want to play the new content you have to start over lol characters are forgotten every 3 months

Chasing 100 in that time is completely unrewarding and pointless, if anything it's just a stress builder, I just do what I en joy, if I end up gaining levels that's fine, If not at least I'm doing content I en joy and not mindlessly grinding for no reward or unlock

Some people just feel like they got better by being level 100.

They like the fake sense of accomplishment.

poe was never about the character upgrading. It's about yourself gaining more knowledge along the way.

It's like when I can't kick the ball into the net, I make the goal wider, instead of trying to actually kick the goddamn ball in.
