Trial instant death poison trap, on a button you are required to push?

I don't know what happened. Since GGG is shit at explaining how things work it was probably my own fault.

Gauntlet trial, I have to push a button to open a door, except doing that triggers a poison bomb. I'm full health and it's instant kills me.

I don't understand what I'm suppose to do. Basically quitting after farming forever to find a token, then get 4 floors in and lose because of this. Just feels like GGG made a game to piss people off.

You run on the button and run off of it quickly.

dodge roll off it, not stand on it.

The floors you first encounter this mechanic on is floor 3, either through the gauntlet trial in floor 3 or the scorpion.

So ... if you have a floor 4 sekhema you should know the mechanic by now.

That's the second meaning of "grinding gear" imo.

Yeah you can't do those pressure plates hitless if you have the "faster traps" debuff. They guarantee hit you. It's a devastating combo that you have to engage with to finish the level.

You might be able to juke it with the Blink gem?
