POE1 DC protection changes

Am in minority, have unstable internet. POE2 disconnect protection is great, please (if possible) improve poe1 disconnect protection. Have it so you get kicked to town instead of being in grace like it is in poe2. IDK the technicalities but if it's feasible, would be nice. I've heard there's a reason why it's not in poe1 but I haven't heard what that reason is. Currently if I DC in the wrong spot I'm surely dead. A timer of 6 seconds or so, which is better than nothing but still rough.

Clearly its feasible.

There never was a good (from player POV) reason for this so you are not missing out due to not knowing.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

I appreciate the comment, do you know why it hasn't been implemented? Why is there a 7 second timer versus a 1 second timer before being DC'd?

The following is based on my vague (on this topic) memories, I could be wrong or misrepresenting something:

In the past there was/were some discussion/s about this. GGG people vs streamers. There was some (PR) reason given like (not literally) "yes we could make this parametrizable but players are too stupid to understand what they are doing and would just parametrize it wrong and then complain to us that the game doesnt work properly anymore". So basically no (good) reason other than "we dont want to". In fact if it works better in PoE2 without such complaints then its evidence that the (PR) reason given was not a proper reason.
This is similar to how they (GGG) argued against lockstep before they eventually implemented it. And the situation now with lockstep is such that the only issues with it are bugs which GGG doesnt fix, conceptually it clearly works and is much superior to predictive for those with good connection.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
