Do not do pinnacle content for now

As stated do not do any pinnacle content. You will lose your materials you either grinded for or traded for and the game will kick you to character select and delete your items with it and not give anything back. At this time i refuse to do any endgame activity until they come out with a full statement about them fixing this issue. I know GGG will not care to read these because i am not a streamer which is pretty much confirmed they only listen to streamers as of how they spoke about the problems they address. The fact that this type of thing was not a priority for them is completely unforgiving. They need to compensate for all the server roll backs and stolen materials from the rollbacks.

Do not waste your time and effort with the endgame content, you will not be rewarded or respected for your time. There is no reason materials should be consumed if rolled back. They are just lazy with their coding and this shows heavily with the shortcuts they obviously took.

it's rare to see such a measured response on these forums. Truly a well articulated and carefully constructed piece of journalism, dare I say?

Unlike most of the drivel posted here, which tends to cast aside most nuances and complexities of virtually any topic, this one truly does a deep dive and highlights a number of important aspects on the matter that the rest of us had not considered.

This changes everything, thank you!
There is an issue with maps atm moment I think. I’ve crashed twice, lost all my inventory, node, map but didn’t lose XP

GGG maybe looking at the problem then.

Early access should not be the same as Alpha/Beta. Ppl has shifted the actual meaning and it gets sickening. If you are releasing a game that is in Alpha/Beta state you should state so and I do think there won't be as many ppl bought the access if that's the case.

Early Access = Fundamental of the game is done at least 90% polished but contents aren't. You pay to get access earlier than others that don't pay.
Alpha/Beta = Devs need tester for the game to know if aspects in the game are working properly just like what we have rn.

I don't expect this game to be as smooth as official release level but rn it's ridiculously messy might as well put it in Alpha Test state.

Not sure where you've come up with this idea that an early access game is 90% done but I've never thought that about early access games. You're equating it to something like a PTR which it's just not.

this is what steam says

Know what you are buying - With Early Access games, you are going to be playing a work-in-progress. You should consider what the game is like to play right now. Look at the screenshots and trailers to see what the game looks like in its current state. There are a lot of ways a game can change as it develops over time, so if you aren't excited to play the game in its current state, then hold off and wait until a future update or full release.

GGG was very clear that this is a genuine, open beta-style early access where players should expect bugs and balance issues. They never, at any point, told you that you should expect a game that is "at least 90% polished" and is essentially finished.

Community conversation, before and after release, also emphasized this point.

I never read anywhere, whether in official or unofficial content, the suggestion that the game would be in a near-finished state.

If you believed, without evidence, that PoE2 is essentially a finished, well-balanced, bug-free game and you're just paying for the privilege of playing it a little before others... that's on you.

The complaint really comes across as "I incorrectly assumed this to be true, and that's somehow your fault".
