Brutality Support with Armour Explosion

Does Brutality prevent the explosion from doing damage? I can't tell, feels like it is improving my clear, but I genuinely cannot tell if the explosion is actually being nullified. The explosion being a trigger and not the skill itself suggests it is in fact doing damage rather than nothing but I'd love to know if anyone tested and knows for certain with these interactions.
