No Skill points from Bog Witch Cruel 2

Somehow, I completed the 2nd Cruel tier wo fighting the bog witch. When I went back I got the 2 quest items but no skill points. The map still showed the skull with the + sign as incomplete so I fought her again. Still no skill points and map shows her as incomplete.
