POE2: No respawn after death possible

Hello Team,
I just progressed from act 1 to act 2,
now when I get killed, I can not respawn at latest waypoint. Message says: You do not have sufficient quest progress.(or similiar, no english prompts)
Then there is no options menu available, not any other button triggers any action.

I have to close the game from PS5 Home screen, start again, then I do respawn at the latest waypoint.

P.S. The whole story/quest progress was achieved by doing local couch coop with a second character. For both characters the issue persists:
