Bought a Key for PC Poe2. Wanted to validate for Steam. Didnt work.

TL;DR - Bought Key to activate on Steam. Doesnt work. Login onto Website with Steambutton but PoE2 Client asks for Email/PW. What to do. I want Steam.

I bought a PoE2 Key for Pc... wanted to add the Key through steam like I did with other Game-Keys but it didnt accept it... checked on the Site where I bought the Key for instructions and it redirected me to the redeem site - https://de.pathofexile.com/shop/redeem-key - there it asked me sign in, so I signed in using the steam button and proceeded to insert the key to check... I did that and the Website confirmed its validity for PC, Steam, Epic etc.. so I proceeded to activate it as it asked me to. It activated successuflly.

At this point I try to add the key to steam again, thinking it would be active now, but it still doesnt work.

I pressed on PoE2 Download for Windows and it downloaded a client that I installed/downloaded... key still not activating on steam (at this point I think its just not a steam key)... so I just start the game .. now it asks me to log in using an email and PW... I dont have anything since I created an account / logged in with Steam on the Website. Not cool.

I look around the website and I find this place to redeem the actual steam key.. but it says: "This key is not available now. Come back soon." Not cool again.

The Epic Key was available tho.. but I dont want it on Epic.. it also stated that it would "only ad the client to steam and not grand early access" which I didnt fully understand either.


Is there something I can do? Can I get the Steam version? How can I log in at this point using steam in case I do not get a Steam version? Halp plis.
