Opening up POE2 to the main menu disconnects my Internet

What the actual fuck? Now, since the patch, as soon as I double click the POE2 thumbnail on my desktop and the main menu loads in, I’m instantly disconnected. Why is opening up the game dropping my PC’s internet connection? It’s maddening having to faff around like this every time I want to play the game.
