Completed the stone citadel map but shows map failed on atlas

Completed and killed all rare mobs and final boss, also cleared map to 0 monsters. When I left the map and tried to start a new one it showed the map was still in progress and I could progress to the next atlas node. I went ahead and back tracked to an available node and once i did this it showed the Stone Citadel map failed...

I did notice when I killed the "big" boss it said "quest complete" not
"map complete"
