PS5 bugs I've encountered
First off, thanks for the great game. Very much enjoying it and happy to engage in the process of making it even more enjoyable. I know it must be a lot of work to create content and fix bugs for multiple platforms simultaneously. Very impressed with the amount of work in 0.1.1 despite all that. I'll post these bugs in order of frustration factor, and continue to reply in this thread to new bugs I encounter.
--- PS5 to PS5 party invites They don't work unless you're friends with them on PSN. Even then, I have PSN friends that send party invites to me and I see nothing. When I send invites to them they get a Playstation notification to join the party, not the typical in-game POE2 notification. And I think, even for other PS5 friends, they'll get the in game notification. In short, anything relying on the playstation network or UI (i.e., friends and PS5 notifications) makes for a very confusing experience. Ideally everything is consistently kept in-game using the existing UI and PoE2 systems. Trading between PS5 players is basically broken Due to the bug above, if you're trading with someone via the trade website you never see their party invites and they never see yours, making for a very confusing and frustrating experience of continuously inviting each other to a party to no avail. Vertical sync and screen tearing This is constant, even when not much action is going on and I'm just walking around. Even at the lowest resolution settings as well. Using an 2018 LG 65" 4k OLED at 60hz. Broken trade invite UI/UX First to contrast, the party invite system has the expected UI/UX. When invited to a party (and when the in game notification is seen, not the PS5 notification) you can open the menu screen, hover over the party invite and press X to accept. This is fine. But for trades hitting X does not work despite the "Accept (X)" option in the trade invite. Since the Accept and Decline buttons are individually selectable in the UI, what often happens is you see the trade UI element, move the selection into this element and press X, which ends up declining the trade. The error or confusion is centered around the fact that the individual Accept and Decline buttons are selectable rather than just the parent element, so people select the Decline button, it's hard for them to see that this is selected as they thing the whole element is selected, they press (X) because that's the icon next to the Accept button, and voila! they have mistakenly declined the trade. Pending trade notifications are cutoff in the menu screen The notification is situated far enough left that part of it is being cutoff by the edge of the screen. Co-op parties can't invite others to their party When playing co-op, we were unable to send or receive invites from several friends who we wanted to join up with. Persistent guild invite notification If you're already in a guild, and receive an invite to another, you are notified that you have a pending invite every time you log into a character. There is no way to acknowledge or decline the invite from the current UI. Quick moving to stash drops items This only happens in some areas: Trial of Sekhemas, Chaos Trial, beginning of act III, and perhaps others I'm unaware of atm. Completed towers persistence radius ring When "hovering" over a tower in the Atlas a radius ring is shown. For completed towers, this ring will persist for a majority of your towers (oddly, not all completed towers, and often or never the uncompleted towers). Last bumped on Jan 18, 2025, 1:06:30 PM
