About to quit.

Never played poe1 or diablo and i am overwhelmed, by the nodes, stats, builds, elements, orbs and so on. I'm not understanding anything. I need a full up to date guide to help me. anybody can help with a general guide and one guide for a build since act 1;

I really wouldn't even know where to begin. PoE is pretty deep that a specific question can be answered but everything you need to know in general? How much time do you have? How much information can you absorb at face value and retain for later?

Honestly, having people to talk with is the best 'guide' for learning PoE. If you can sit in discord with 1-3 other people and just ask questions/share knowledge between each other, it would go a long way.

Alternatively, you can look into joining the discord servers of some of the community streamers. They usually have channels for 'new player help'. It's not too hard to find people who are happy to help explain something for you.

Could you link up some videos for build and general knowledge about the game?

Everything you want to know about the game can be found on the Wiki. In fact, any video or guide to be found on the internet is just paraphrasing these wiki entries. Everything you need is there.

The game has its own explanation of keywords (any word with a dotted underline). Simply mouse over an item, hold ALT and mouse over the keyword for an advanced description.

There's lots more to discover on the Wiki, and what's great for new players is that each wiki entry has links to other relevant entries to what you're looking up. Maybe when reading about Ailments, you'll follow the link to Damage Over Time and then click the link to Poison. It pretty much guides you towards more relevant information. It's a great tool that more people need to use.
