Lingering Illusion + Minion Pact nerf why?

TNX for fun policing GGG, TIME TO ROLL SPARK SORC LIKE 98.3% OF THE PLAYER BASE HEHEHE.

Was there ever another build besides Spark Sorc? ONE BUILD TO RULE THEM ALL! Minions don't deserve rights, illusions shouldn't linger, and GGG is always right because we are all Spark now. SPARK AND SHINE BRIGHT! #GGGJustice #FunIsOverrated
Title: The Spark Sorcerer Apocalypse: Path of Exile 2, Save Us All
Introduction:
Ah, the Spark Sorcerer. What once was a quirky, lightning-flinging underdog has now become the universal declaration of, “I saw a guide on YouTube, and now I’m unkillable!” Thanks to the meta, 98.3% (totally accurate, trust me, bro) of Path of Exile’s player base is now rolling around spamming Zap! Zap! while the rest of us sigh into our Chaos Orbs.

The Spark Sorc Phenomenon
How did we get here? Let’s break it down:

Ridiculous Scaling Potential:
A skill that clears entire screens while your brain stays in neutral? Yes, please! With just a few supports and some passive tree dedication, Spark turns you into Zeus, raining death from every angle. What’s not to love? (Except for originality, of course.)

Budget-Friendly Start-Up:
Spark Sorcerer doesn’t just dominate; it laughs in the face of gear progression. A couple of cheap uniques, and suddenly you’re crushing Tier 16 maps before your friends even finish Act 10. Who needs a chase item when a Tabula Rasa and some Respec Points do the job?

The Economy Is Ruined:
Good luck buying anything related to lightning damage. Helm enchants? Forget it. Jewels? Bank-breaking. Someone whispers you for trade? 90% of the time, they’re another Spark Sorc desperately hoarding Lightning Penetration support gems.

Path of Exile 2: A Savior in Sight?
As we look toward Path of Exile 2, there’s a sliver of hope for those of us tired of Spark-induced seizures on our monitors:

Rebalanced Skills:
Maybe GGG will finally figure out that “OP but cheap” is a dangerous combo. Imagine a world where builds require thought, effort, and actual resource investment instead of watching sparks auto-clear the screen.

More Build Diversity:
PoE 2 promises exciting new skills and mechanics. Maybe this time, the meta won’t boil down to one or two builds dominating like Spark Sorcerer does now. (A guy can dream, right?)

The End of Spark Supremacy:
Let’s face it—GGG loves nerfing popular builds. If Spark isn’t first on the chopping block for PoE 2, I’ll eat my Kaom’s Heart.

Conclusion: Spark Sorcerer, We Love to Hate You
Is Spark fun? Sure. Is it also the meta equivalent of showing up to a costume party in a black suit because it’s “efficient?” Absolutely. Here’s hoping Path of Exile 2 gives us more variety so we can leave the Zapocalypse behind and embrace true build diversity.

Until then… time to roll Spark Sorc.
Playing with Firewall Spark and Bombthrower Minions in my party, I cant see anything at all. All I can do is stand there hoping I dont get one shot by a random enemy fire ball. Cause I cant see anything except blue fire everywhere.

I've tried Lingering Illusion and it was useless. It activates only when you roll, and then disapears when you finish the roll, and monsters dont bother attacking it like the tool tip says.

GGG caught you playing a build that wasnt holding down 1 but and screen deleting and had to put a stop to it. MUH POWA FANTASY
+1

It come on guys what was the problem with this? I had to spend sprit and take up a skill slot to roll around like a freak to build charges... what's the problem?

I agree, it's not like it was free or anything. It was just a cool and creative interaction of two different mechanics. This is the type of thing that made me fall in love with PoE in the first place. Now they're just fun-policing it out of the game.
