Intel Arc b580 - terrible performance in endgame!
**Description:**
I am experiencing significant performance issues while playing Path of Exile 2 using an Intel Arc B580 graphics card. Specifically, I encounter severe FPS drops when engaging in endgame content, particularly during events like Rituals and Breaches, where I typically face encounters involving over 10 mobs. **Details:** - **Hardware:** Intel Arc B580 Graphics Card - **Processor:** Intel i7 8086K - **Operating System:** Windows 11 - **Resolution & Settings:** Playing at 1440p with all settings on low and XESS set to Ultra Performance. - **Replicable Steps:** 1. Start the game and create a character. 2. Progress to endgame content. 3. Participate in Rituals and Breaches, or any large mob encounters. **Expected Behavior:** I expect consistent FPS during combat, regardless of the number of mobs on the screen. **Actual Behavior:** I am experiencing considerable drops in FPS, making it difficult to enjoy the game and perform effectively during challenging encounters. **Additional Information:** If there are specific settings or configurations that might help improve performance, please let me know. I would appreciate any guidance on optimizing the game for my hardware. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Last bumped on Oct 5, 2025, 12:37:20 AM

i use also a Arc B580 and with dx12 is horror to play.
I switched to vulkan with NIS no upscaling lightning only shadow and shadow low is much better then dx12 But im must play in fullscreen with window fullscreen game feels so hard suffering its rly a big difference dont know why. and this with a extern trading side is rly annoying. The fps drops inside many mobs or explosion is a game problem. Lets hope they will fix this problems asap. Last edited by Sneggle#4420 on Jan 16, 2025, 10:08:00 PM

If you want an easy way to recreate this:
Use DirectX12: Burning ships in the Act 4 Journey's End zone murder the framerate while onscreen. I've been making fissures and shattering them with warcries, and the framerate plummets every time until it dissipates. The game is nearly unplayable with this build. Spirits and the new Abyssal enemies can be terrible too. My normal framerate is well over 100 usually on DX12. Vulkan means I average around 60 or below, though it doesn't die from these effects. Neither option is good. Would love a fix for this. |
