Kitoko gloves and % chance to inflict ailment

Hello im using kitoko glove ( all lightning damage contribute to electrocute build up )
so i was wondering if taking node for % chance inflict ailment will upgrade the speed at which i build electrocute or not ?

Yes if the node specifically say non-damaging ailment ( Freeze/Chill/Shock/Electrocute ) .

There's also two Electrocute clusters between the Monk / Ranger tree if you are looking for Electrocute-only buffs .

Think you'd want nodes that give +magnitude to ailments instead of +chance to inflict.

As the wording on the gloves sounds like all lightning dmg will give electrocute build up- no chance needed. Similar to incinerate and ignite.

*It's also been my experience when using the gloves earlier this week.

No, this is for ailments that you apply by chance. Electrocution use an alternative applying method – it builds up (like freeze). So you should increase Electrocute buildup for that.
