POE 2 Trade System

As a person who recently was scammed for all of my currency that took weeks of grinding to get enough divines for an Astramentis Stellar Amulet. Why doesn't GGG implement a better trading system? Why not make it the same as the currency trade system that you deposit the item and it locks it and forces that item to be traded?
