New Sceptre - Unable to equip supports to skill

Recently bought a new sceptre to upgrade an existing one. I have the stats required to equip and spare support gem capacity, but am unable to equip any support gems to the skill. If i attempt to place the support gem anyways or even hover over the skill, the game crashes. If i switch back to the old sceptre, I can equip skill gems as expected.

I've tried unequiping the weapon, restarting game, playing around with attributes to get over the 'reduced attribute requirements' affix. Nothing works.

Hey, Im having the same problem. Did you find a solution?

I'm having the same problem. Since I've leveled up some I traded for an item level 80 rattling sceptre to replace my item level 65. Now I can't socket the skill gems into the new one. If I re-equip the level 65 I can socket the skill gems into it.

Due to other similar posts, it seems the "reduced attribute requirements" are not used for the sceptre skill, so you need the non-reduced attributes to socket and use the skill.
