Cand you give me some examples of other games that are punishing?
I'm genuinely curious.

And now Im just screwing around in a2 norm "spires of deshar" to check to see if I got the 10% lightning resistance from the shrine since there doesnt seem to be a way to track this on the compmleted quests or map!

Punishing my ass, punishing is not the issue. I found it and yes I had done it. Makes me want to alt f4.

Where the hell is the way point at the ziggurat temple I literally have to walk out of town to a waypoint in the drowned city in order to access any other part of the game.

This has to be trolling.

Yeah that one was too obvious .

you two should come back after you hit maps and try to check vendors in last act

I'm a little less pissed off now but honestly this game makes me so mad sometimes.

By "Wall of Text" I mean reading 6 modifiers on each item, even the map stones, and these random ass tests where you pick all these rewards and take all these penalties... and you die randomly due to "honor" instead of hit points. And then theres the massive scale of the passive tree in general and all the skill gems. Its so much reading!

And then you end up with so much shit filling your stash! And its all crap!

I am drowning in crap playing this game.

Made some progress though.. not quite as pissed off.

It's definitely a game that requires time to sit and learn. I did it now becuase once all the classes, weapons, skills and supports are fully released its gona be super overwhelming.

You really have to turn off anything in the background and just focus on the game, teach yourself the systems and mechanics using the tooltips. if youre a decent ARPG player the campaign is certainly possible to complete without any guides or outside knowledge.

Its a commitment for sure, and if that's not for you then its totally understandable but its not really fair to say the game is shit because it requires alot of learning to play.

I did it with a warrior first go which unfortunately is now known to be an underperforming class in the hands of 90% of players AKA normal gamers. Im playing again with a sorc because rn I really cant take to the endgame and its jarring shift in gameplay and overly punishing deaths.

Funny enough I found the campaign to be easier with Warrior, especially bosses, but the progression into mapping after the 6 acts he dropped off super hard, basically immediately. Endgame really needs to be tuned far better and better explained for people who've never engaged with the map mechanics like breach, expedition, etc.
