Fireball vs frostwall.

So, I'm only level 45, but the game so far has been much more of a slog than I expected, but that could well be because I am a noob to poe.

One thing I can't quite understand, I started using frostwall as a defensive skill to stop fast mobing mobs swamping my sorc, but after reading some guides, it seems strange that frostwall explosions do WAY more damage than fireball does, I mean by alot.

So fireball now just becomes a way to shatter the walls with the mobs bunched up behind them, dying from the ice explosions.

Spellcasters are painful to level. It's not just you.

Once you hit level 58 and get to cut level 14 spirit gems (guess why) and equip your EB/MoM gear, it gets exponentially better.
