How to replenish 0/100 at Finn in act 1 normal

Im running into trouble in replenishing Finn in act 1 normal in hc ssf.
I killed the fist boss in clearfell twice and it updated to 2/100. Any kill after that does NOT add to the total. Is this correct? Is there a better way to do this? This design is not fun if its just spamming unique boss in act over and over. I've already grinded the gold, why now have another limiting factor to trying to gamble for an item I need (widowhail). As far as I can tell you need to kill 50 bosses to get back to 100/100

Ive killed the first boss in clearfell and it stopped at 2/100. Killing it more times doesnt increase the stock at Finn
