Contagion more Spread question

So Contagion has a base spread of 1,7.
I put 2 gems in it for a total of 90% more aoe. The result is 2,4 How? 1,7x1,9 = 3,23. How is the result 2,4? Contagion has a base radius of 1.7m, and you are increasing its total area by 90%.
Area = radius^2 * π 1.7^2 * π = 9.07 ish 2.4^2 * π = 18.09 ish Seems about right (and I cba to inverse the calculation for a more accurate result :P ). |
