Breachlord T4 is Borderline impossible for summoner

The boss himself is a cakewalk for me in tier4, It's the gauntlet that I cannot get past because of the tight timer,

What am I doing wrong? Should I just re-roll to do this boss? I have 30% speed on my boots, I kill every mob on the way, and kill every elite as fast as I can, I don't 1 shot everything but it dies very quickly..

I am pretty well geared also, level 94.

I have

+5 minions on scepter
+2 minions on neck
+2 minions on helm

totaling +9 minions total, And have no issues surviving, And am able to EASILY farm t18 Breach in maps with full juice (T16 +2 Corruption / Irradiated / LvL 82)


I just wasted THREE breach stones IN A ROW, back to back.


Some things I can note is that I believe Rares are totally random to spawn, and the timer just doesn't get enough from the kills...


Please, I want to be able to do this boss... But I don't want to re-roll to some perfectly meta 1 shot build in order to do it, I don't think you should be required to have some broken OP build just in order to get through the stupid gauntlet on this boss.

I am able to kill t4 citadel bosses easily, and am about to go against arbiter... but I cannot get through what should be a very simple gauntlet because the timer is too strict... this seems like an oversight at this point.

Why is the game so punishing? It's not fun.

Not all builds are that efficient or great at beating bosses, what are your stats looking like? Skill tree? Your gear? What is killing you? How is your damage looking? A lot of questions need answering before anyone would be able to help or see the issue. You more than likely need better gear or assistance with your build.

I mentioned in the post that I don't have any issues with the boss himself, I have killed him on all difficulties up to 4 easily, and have killed many other pinnacle bosses on +4 difficulty without issue, It is the gauntlet before the breachlord that I am having an issue with... clear speed just doesn't seem to be good enough, I keep failing the timer by a few seconds..

I have noticed that the amount of elites, which add time to the timer, can be completely random...


My clear speed in t16 +2 breach is great but I can't seem to beat the gauntlet before breachlord unless I am super lucky with the amount of elite spawns.


Again, I don't have an issue killing the mobs or the boss himself, it's the speed that I'm able to make it through the gauntlet that I am struggling with.. I keep running out of time by just a few seconds..

Yep played one to 93 as my first character and every breachstone run i had less than 5 seconds on the timer and failed 2, so it took me 6 stones to get my points.

Only way I was able to do it was having insane gear and being abke to run ahead and tank all the mobs because i had 50% block and 20k es with grim feast.

Minion build clear speed is abysmal without convocation and this is the greatest showcase of it.

Anyone saying minion builds are good or the clear isnt that bad hasnt played literally any other build. Even melee builds shit on minion clear speed.

I dont think you read his post, problem is he cant even get to the boss because his clear speed is awful due to minion pathing + constantly respawning if he moves too far ahead. Command helps, but it still doesnt fix the awful clear only makes it less awful.

I dont think you read his post, problem is he cant even get to the boss because his clear speed is awful due to minion pathing + constantly respawning if he moves too far ahead. Command helps, but it still doesnt fix the awful clear only makes it less awful.

I wouldn't even call the clear "Awful" I'd just call it..... slower than meta builds, I am quite happy with my infernalist and can do t18 juiced maps quite well including all t4 bosses and pinnacle bosses, But it's just not fast enough to do the breachlord gauntlet without a lot of luck and perfect timing / rare spawns..

I would say the clear speed is JUST BARELY enough to be able to do it... sucks :(

This is why in POE1 I typically had a bossing character and a mapping character. Not every build excels at one or the other.

Minion builds are the best bossing characters you can build on low budget bar none. In his case he needs a character to clear to xesht then log in his minion build.

Endgame will always revolve around clear speed, and that will always be the meta just like poe1. All minions need is convocation and they will be fine.

Even non meta builds clear much faster atm.
