"Connection Failture" Can't download patch on stand alone cilent.

Whenever I start the download, I get the message "Connection failture - Error: Failed writing received data to ask/application while downloading https://patch-poe2.poecdn.com/4.1.0.12.4/PatchOfExile.exe"

sounds like you need to allow the path of exile .exe file through your firewall or attempt to run the update/launcher as admin temporarily
