Trading system - help me uderstand

Hi everyone,

straight to the point: i can't fathom how this trading system came to be in 2025. Buying a special stash tab to list items, searching stuff on a website and then pmming the seller.. the hell?

How come there isn't your usual handy auction house where you list and buy items? How is it possible for this system to exist in this day and age? I have no clue..

I like the trading website as it allows for searching of very specific affixes.

It's a holdover from POE1.

It actually works ok. I know not everyone responds, but not everyone actually wants to trade. Or people are afk. So you message a seller, wait 30 secs, try another, etc.

I think eventually there will be an auction house for everything, but this is just the system that has existed for a while.

I buy stuff but don't sell because I'm lazy and don't want to be bothered.

I don't mind it either, I do mind messaging 50 different people and no one answers though.

If they can translate the trading website into an in-game function then fine. Or just add a "click to buy" instead of a whisper function so I can buy it directly and eliminate the 5m it takes to find a real person, group with them, warp to them, and make the trade.

You are under wrong assumption that ease of trading is the goal here.
