Settlers Pirates are a bad joke

Honestly does anybody feels the same way?
Pirates i Settlers feels like one of those "brilliant ideas" conceived on a corporate meeting from an employee that absolutely does not know the game and more importantly doesn't care about it.
First of all why does the risk of your ship being commandeered by pirated is not displayed while loading and selecting the port? For the love of God why does it have to be it's separate thing!
Secondly why does the boss has soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much hitpoints?!?!?! I'm just a casual player. Why do you have to punish me so hard for not being a pro?? I have to beat this guy 20 min straight to defeat him! It is so God damn boring and frustrating. Why there is just a single portal to this guy? Why does these encounters have to happen from day one of your trading while the encounter feels like endgame boss? This is complete nonsense!
Thirdly - why after loosing a fight you cant pay a ransom while the option is still there??? Doesn't matter if you have the cash in treasury on on you, you can NEVER push the button to pay! For what purpose is it there? To mock you that you can only abandon your crew now?
Also why does the boss has such a high spike in DPS while dropped below around 20% HP? At first I thought that was just my imagination but actually he does hit harder. Normally he drops my HP by around 50% with his special attacks. When he is nearing his demise it jumps to 80% or more. It seams as he has 3 special attacks - anchor drop, "run u through" and very annoying, completely untelegraphed third attack that looks just like a regular attack. Or maybe it is just a regular attack but he has to have like few K% crit multiplier. What for?!
Why are the soaking gazers there for? Once u are caught in one of these its just a matter of a second or two before you are dead and the waves pushes you into them. Sure you can use travel skills but either you are too slow and die (lightning warp) or you venture to far and end up on another geyser... and u die... And even if you have a moderate running sped it extremely hard to navigate through all of this!
I find this mechanic EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT and UNREWARDING. It should be completely removed from the game or nerfed (HP dropped by 90-95%, geysers removed/reworked, extra dmg while nearing death completely removed).
The settlers should be peaceful experience. It's entire premise is built around building a city and with pirate fights it feels as it all is flushed down the drain. And lets face it - we play settlers just for the enchantments from Kalguurian runes and maybe the item recombinator. There is NOTHING other there to grind for. Why do I have to have the entire experience spoiled by pirates?
What strikes me even more than the settlers being unrewarding is that the game developers are basically disrespectful to the players by putting features that jeopardise the entire fun from the league.

PS. Why does Meat Sacks on Necro Settlers have so much HP as well? I usually oneshot regular foes. Why do I have to grind this guys (regular ones) for 20 second straight?

Geysers can be "removed" by going up to north end during the geyser phase and waiting until geyser phase is over. This makes geyser phase trivial. Means "no one" playtested this or the playtesters were ignored.

had no idea about this zrev. I've fought the guy like 10 times!
and the times I lose its the geyser phase! I would use that open area
on the right hand side to manuver better, but my toon is super fast
and hard to move precisely with.

I'll look for that spot next time... if i even play enough to
have it happen again... leagues pretty over for me too...

Thanks m8. Good to know! Still I'm a bit sad that we have to exploit poor game design to get around... well... bad game design. And I mean I'm sad because I love this game and wish developers would put the same love to their game as well.

I haven't looked into all league features but I was kinda expecting that there are more fights like this. I guess I'll be just abandoning my crew each time a fight pops up.
