It sounds like your friend may have accidentally given you a Steam Client Key instead of an Early Access Key. The Steam Client Key is solely to grant your account the Path of Exile 2 client in the Steam library, and does not grant access to the early access in and of itself.
You would need to apply a PC Early Access Key to your account to gain access. You redeem these here and after doing so you can obtain your own Steam and Epic Client Keys from your early access page. The Steam and Epic Client Keys are not supposed to be given away, which is indicated by the warning accompanying them on your early access page stating that they should not be given away. You may want to check with your friend to make sure they've given you the correct key! | |
so is nothing i can do now to play? i have to buy the 30$ acces from the website?

If your friend has a spare Early Access Key they meant to give to you, they could give you that key and you could redeem it on the website to give your account access. Alternately you can purchase one of the Early Access Packs with your account. I hope this clarifies things!

he had 2 keys one for steam and one for epic both of keys should give you acces to early acces game right? i used the key he got from the 100$ game version

in the video when u buy the support pack it says that the 2 keys are for you to give to your friends to play with you...so i guess the keys from 100$ supporter pack are useless?
