Potential Loot Bug When Using Detonate Dead with Echo on Minions (Witch Class)
I would like to report a potential loot-related issue I’ve encountered in Path of Exile. Below are the details of the suspected bug:
Description of the Issue When using Detonate Dead linked with Spell Echo on my minions to clear multiple mobs, the resulting loot is consistently very poor and basic, especially compared to the drops I receive when using other skills like Arc or Lightning spells. I am playing a Witch character and have switched between various playstyles and builds, yet I consistently notice the same issue when reverting to Detonate Dead on minions. It is currently unclear whether this loot discrepancy is due to initial map loot distribution being lower or if Detonate Dead (particularly when used with Echo) is causing fewer or lower-quality item drops. --- Steps to Reproduce Use Detonate Dead linked with Spell Echo, primarily targeting mobs via my minions. Observe the items that drop after multiple kills. Compare these drops to those obtained using direct spells, such as Arc or other lightning-based skills, under similar map conditions. Observed Behavior Loot drops tend to be lower quality and yield very few rare/unique items compared to when I clear the same map and enemy types with other skills (e.g., Arc). This pattern persists across different map tiers and difficulties. --- Expected Behavior The loot received should be comparable to other AoE or multi-target spells, assuming similar enemy counts and map tiers. Higher-tier or more frequent rare/unique item drops should not diminish simply due to the skill choice. --- Additional Information The problem has been consistent over multiple sessions and map runs. Changing gear, passive trees, and playstyles does not seem to resolve the lower quantity/quality of drops when using Detonate Dead with Spell Echo on minions. I appreciate any insight you can provide regarding this potential bug. If there is a known interaction or penalty applied when using Detonate Dead in this manner, or if this is unintended behavior, clarification would be very helpful. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely. Last bumped on Jan 10, 2025, 2:01:05 AM
