can any one explain the (distance from enemy)nodes ?

first and fore most let me just say that as a American that i suck at any thing messuredd in the metric system , that being said heres what i need a little help understanding and perhaps some one can actually make sense of this to me that way it may help another person ...
the issue i am having right now is the nodes in the ranger tree that say " does more damage blaaa laah blaah when less/more that x meters from target... HOW DOYOU MESSURE THAT? at first, i thought.. well if the averaage female height during the middle ages was like 5ft 5 max and males were like 5ft8-6ft max but then i thought about this again and saidHOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOUR TOO FAR OR TOO CLOSE for the maximum amount of damage to occur? what am i supposed to pause the game grab a micrometer hold it to my screen count each pixle and convert that to metric so i can actually know if i am getting the max potential damage from my shots? seriously if any one knows how this works let me know thanks

I don't think its something they expect you to be measuring mid-combat, but to get a refrence you can try out the spirit gem "overwhelming pressence". Any enemies within 6 meters of you will get a visual effect applied to them.

Character heights can be rounded to 2 meters for most games, even though thats very tall.
ok so im not crazy then and thanks for that advice i will deff look into this
No, not crazy. you are a manatee.

I'm not sure trying to use your character height is particularly useful for ability ranges. You can replace the word "Meter" with "Arbitrary Range Unit" and it's the same.

As noted, you can use Overwhelming presence, or other skills (Bone Prison, most Auras, etc) as a way to get a grip on some basic measurements so you know how far 6 or 7 meters is, or what 1-2 meters looks like and use that to guide 'what's too close' and 'what's too far'. But it's something you'll just develop a sense for overtime.
