You lose all your bonus life from life remements when life shrines end

I had twice my life total, or nearly double when I clicked on the shrine and when it ended I was at about 4 times my base life amount, and went down to that base life total, not the boosted amount that I would have been at. Not sure if this is even a fixable bug, but it is not a good one since blood mage tends to be relying on that extra life for survival.
