The rollbacks are unacceptable

I can accept a lot from an Early Access game, systems aren't finished, it's buggy, lots of crashes, etc...

But having my character rollback what sometimes seems to be upwards of 20-40 seconds of activity when your game crashes is a deal breaker. This has now happened to me more times than I care to recount and while I am not upset over any one particular thing that I might have lost, it's beyond unacceptable that a live service game has client side character rollbacks.

For one, it's being abused by crafters but more importantly to me is I have not played a live service game that has character rollbacks on crashes I think ever and I've been playing MMO/aRPGs since the 90s.

That's beyond egregious failure of game coding.

You are playing a beta, shit happens.

FYI, the game is not going to save every second for over 300,000 active accounts , there are certain actions that will force a save, like depositing in your stash, or a timed save... but to ask for something that guarentees everything that drops/you do is saved all the time over (as of EA release) 1,000,000 accounts often enough that it isn't an issues, makes it an issue, as you would be pumping so much money and resources into making the game work that it would not be profitable in any way.

There is no amount of argument anyone can give when POE2 goes 1.0 where there is the ability for your character to roll back 20-40 seconds when the game crashes would be acceptable.

Any other live service game doesn't have that issue and if POE2 does, they simply did something incredibly wrong. A direct failure in design.

Your right, it's a Beta, well it's a paid for early access to be fair. So this complaint is feedback today, but if it still exists at launch, that alone I would consider a failure.

And yes, I do expect my live service character's state to be saved at least in some form of cache if not directly to have this a non-issue just as I would expect the same in any other live service game I play that has never once rolled my character back a second (ignoring full server rollbacks of course)

Not to mention how ridiculously abusable this is if I can just craft an item and pop my net cable if I don't like the roll it got (I'm sure it takes more than this). Like anyone with any amount of sense would just sit in a hideout disconnecting over and over until they got the RNG rolls they wanted.

That is not acceptable. Character rollbacks are not acceptable in a live service environment in any way shape or form.
