Martial weapon runes/soul cores for totem builds?

See a lot of people using different things. Tested bleed soulcores and they don't work even though I've seen several build creators using them. I have 0% chance to bleed, and socketing a +15 I didn't see a single bleed proc in 2 maps.

Most people seem to be using stun buildup, but I'm not really sure how to test this myself, and the % stun build up in the totem gem sheet or attack for ancestor totems does not change at all when equipping a mace with these socketed.

Spirit obviously works, but these are incredibly expensive/rare and maybe not all that useful depending on your gear.

I've also seen people saying the 2% life/mana soulcores are global and work but again I have a hard time testing these and as far as I know stuff like cannabalism doesn't work on totem kills so I feel like these wouldn't either. For some reason flat life/mana on kill seems to work but not the % ones at least cannabalism.

Maybe either elemental dmg or convert requirements.
