Rare affixes aren't fair for melee

PoE2 is way way harder for melee. But that is alright, its part of the challenge.

What isn't alright are the affixes. There are many that are way too punishing for melee.

The lightning mana drain circle

The time bubble

The fire ground/death explosion

Those 3 are the main culprit. Imagine how fun it is to do a Breach and the very first mob that spawns on top of you is a time bubble rare with frost that doesnt allow you to even cast one skill, dodge roll or do anything at all to the point you get surrounded, stuck and gangbanged to death because you can't even make use of the no collision on dodge roll patch they recently added.

Or you just cant do anything at all because the mob just drained all your mana and you can't even kite because it kills you with the lightning hula hoop.

Last but not least, you just killed the mob, yay, but suddenly you died cuz you couldnt see the mine under your feet or that you were literally cooked alive. In 2 seconds on a tier 15waystone with capped fire resistance.

Please, make it less punishing for melee. I need to kill rares on a map but sometimes the affixes are just so brutal it makes it impossible to clear as a melee.

Melee can be harder, but those things make it unfun and sincerely will push people to range because it is just more viable when the game fully comes out and has more serious rankings, meta etc.

The only thing melee feels good at is to boss killing...AT WELL PLANNED ENDGAME BUILDS. Or else it will be like playing a From Soft game ARPG version. Isn't necessarily bad but can be taxing.

Especially THOSE 3 AFFIXES.

the lightning circle is actually great for melee, because it only affects you on the outer rim, if you are inside the thing it does nothing
The lightning mana drain ring and slow bubble are also bad for ranged, because sometimes its on a rare enemy that is really fast or just on you and there is nothing you can do to get away from them
Also the revive minion is kinda annoying (not broken, just annoying), they revive instantly after being killed with no cooldown and sometimes the mosnter with the affix is really far away from the minions which makes no sense
as a Monk I also dont like those elemental nova's; but when I got enough damage to just kill them before the nova goes off I find myself not dying to it as much as I did before.

I "fixed" this issue playing actually a Warbringer Shockwave Totem.
Ye, a "pussy" build but I put my 4 Totem and cya.
